Today was the big day! Locals have been holding their breath
for weeks, and now the Orcas Food Co-op is finally opening.

Located across the street from Orcas Island Realty in the
hub of Eastsound Village, the Co-op had a big celebration today to launch the
new store.

With free homemade pizza and samples of store products,
locals flocked to enter the newly furnished interior.

The new co-op features a deli area with food prepared by Deli
Manager, Chef Madden Surbaugh. The interior has been lovingly decorated by
local volunteers. With fresh organic produce, healthy snacks, dry bulk goods,
quality dairy products, frozen meats, fresh seafood, health and beauty
products, dietary supplements, and all kinds of beverages, the Orcas Food Co-op
