Top of the World Views

The clear blue skies we’ve been having of late are perfect weather for Mt. Constitution, so if you haven’t been able to make it up to the top yet this summer, now is the time! 

Hike, bike, or, for a quick jaunt, merely drive up the long curvy road in your car and climb to the top of the tower, built by the Civilian Conservation Corps for views from Canada in the North, to Bellingham to the East, to islands in every direction. There is a map at the top of the tower naming all the surrounding islands and lights in the distance. 

Boats on the water look still, captured in a painting with streaks of white wakes drawn out behind them, while local currents are clearly visible in the shadows on the water.
