The Farmer’s Market Continues
September 10th, 2013
Although the summer seems to be winding down, with kids heading back to school and September well on its way, one of the wonderful parts of summer, the Farmer’s Market, continues.
Now is one of the best times to visit as well, for the fall bounty is sure to enrich your meals! From potatoes, to early squash, apples, pears, plums, late greens, garlic, and tomatoes, full meals can easily be prepared with entirely local fare. This is also the end of flower season, with enormous sunflowers and plenty of others coloring vendors’ stands. So head on over Saturday mornings to enjoy the richness of Orcas at the end of summer months!
