Skiing on Orcas Island

February 25, 2014

Up until now, many islanders were starting to think this would be another relatively mild winter, with little snow. We have all been proved very, very wrong. Snow has made its presence known on every corner of the island, covering Eastsound in a thick blanket of whiteness.

Of course the snow is not a total buzz kill. Besides the extraordinary beauty of the island coated in sparkly white, the snow provides a myriad of activities we don’t often enjoy.
