Alternative Transportation

Island living is different in so many ways, transportation in particular. But so many locals forget there is more than the Washington State Ferry to get to the mainland! If you’ve never ridden in a float plane, it is surely an experience you ought to put on your bucket list.

It feels pretty amazing to be soaring in the sky about the beautiful San Juans one minute, and be landing on the Sound the next, coasting along the blue runway towards the docks. 

Take off

For once, skip the ferry lines and enjoy the sky and the sea in one ride. It takes about 45 minutes from Seattle, or about 15 minutes from Bellingham.
